Cellsius started from a simple frustration: the most exciting science of our era — genetic engineering, CRISPR, synthetic biology — felt sealed off. The knowledge lived in journals, the reagents behind institutional accounts, and the encouragement almost nowhere. Meanwhile a generation of curious people had the internet, a kitchen table, and no idea where to start.
So we built two things. First, a skill tree: a clear, gamified path that turns "biology" from an intimidating wall into a series of unlockable, teachable steps. Second, a curated shop that removes the other barrier — knowing what to buy. We test and hand-pick kits from trusted makers, point you to the right lab staples, and make a couple of our own on-ramp products. No 10,000-SKU catalog. Just the right next thing.
We're deliberately not a faceless marketplace. Every product ties back to a skill, every skill ties back to a free protocol, and the whole thing lets a total beginner go from their first petri dish to a real CRISPR edit — understanding why at every step.
